Hot Pink & Zebra Stripes Cake

This cake was made to look like a picture that the bridal party found online.  Both tiers are yellow cake filled with buttercream and fresh strawberries.  The cakes are iced in buttercream with fondant and gumpaste details.  The mother of the groom ordered carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese buttercream to coordinate with the cake.

Happy Birthday Yaya!

This cake was for my sister Shannon's birthday.  My kids refer to her as Yaya.  Yaya requested something with lots of chocolate and peanut butter.  This is a chocolate cake with mini chocolate chips filled with peanut butter chocolate chip buttercream, and iced in dark chocolate buttercream with peanut butter buttercream and peanut butter cup decorations.  Happy Birthday Yaya!

Chocolate Seashell Cupcakes

These cupcakes were ordered for a bridal shower for a couple having a destination beach wedding.  Half the cupcakes are chocolate and half yellow with buttercream frosting.  I made white chocolate seashells for the blue buttercream and milk chocolate seashells for the white buttercream.  Love the way these turned out, and loving my new cupcake boxes shown in the last two pics.

Petal Cake for Mom

This cake was made for my mom from my daughter and son.  They helped make the chocolate cakes and the buttercream frosting.  They were both very proud of their work.  Happy Birthday to the best Mom & Nana we know, we're so lucky to have you in our lives!

Happy Birthday Jimmy!

My brother gave me very specific instructions for his birthday.  Number 1 was no fancy cakes and number 2 was it must be Funfetti.  So here are Jimmy's 30th Birthday Funfetti cupcakes with buttercream frosting and sprinkles done by my daughter.  Happy Birthday Jimmy...I still can't believe my baby brother is 30!

All-Star Sports Cake

This sports balls cake was for our friends' son Jack.  A year ago I made Jack's Very Hungry Caterpillar 1st birthday cake, and tried working with fondant for the very first time.  I can't believe a year has gone by that fast.  This cake is one layer chocolate and one layer yellow with buttercream frosting, covered in all of Jack's favorite sports balls.  Happy 2nd Birthday Jack!
