Tree Cake

This tree cake is marble with buttercream filling.  My mom asked me to make it for Mr. Treen, who owned the local nursery in our town for years.  Happy 82nd Birthday Mr. Treen!

Cowgirl Party!

It's hard to believe that I started this blog last year with my daughter's 3rd birthday.  Here we are a year later...she's 4 and Kake is 1!  This year she wanted a cowgirl themed party.  Her dessert buffet included a 3 tier cowgirl cake, cow print cake pops, s'more pops, mini apple pie pops and cowgirl boot cookies.  The bottom tier of the cake was chocolate with Oreo buttercream filling and the top two tiers were yellow with buttercream filling.  I've included a few more photos of some of the cowgirl decor.  The highlight of the day was when Snap the pony arrived, the expression on Addie's face was priceless!  Happy Birthday to our little girl, we love you more than you'll ever know!  And a big thank you to all of you who have made Kake's 1st year a successful one!

Jungle Animals 1st Birthday

This cake was a remake of one of the very first cakes I posted on this blog.  I made the jungle animals two tiered cake, a smash cake for the birthday boy and three dozen coordinating cookies for his guests. The bottom tier of the cake was marble with buttercream, and the top tier was yellow cake with buttercream filling.  Happy Birthday Nicholas!

Blue & White Bridal Shower

 This bridal shower cake was made to match the save the date for this couple's wedding.  I included the chevron striped pattern on the sides of the cake and added a flower brooch and bridal gown.  The cake was marble with buttercream filling.  Congrats Carolyn and Mike!

Hawaiian Bridal Shower Cake

This cake was for a Hawaiian themed shower for a couple honeymooning in Hawaii.  Their names are written in Hawaiian on the cake.  The cake is marble with buttercream filling and icing.  Congrats Hekele & Kukine (Heather & Dustin)!

Woodland Baby Shower

This cake was for my friend Steph's baby shower.  I designed the cake to coordinate with the woodland animals invitation.  It was a lemon cake with raspberry and buttercream filling.  Congrats Steph & Rob, we can't wait to meet little baby Carrigg!
