Baby Einstein Cake

Making this cake felt like I was paying tribute to the woman who let me eat dinner when my kids were babies!  Top tier is chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling and the bottom tier is lemon with strawberry and buttercream filling.  The whole cake is covered in buttercream frosting with fondant animals and accents.  Even the caterpillar is edible!

1st Birthday Smash Cake & Cookies

 This smash cake and cookies were for our very good friends' son's 1st birthday.  Happy Birthday Sam!

Sesame Street 2nd Birthday

This cake was for little Willa who loves Elmo and Cookie Monster.  I really love the way the Sesame Street sign with her name on it came out.  Happy 2nd Birthday Willa!

Graduation Cake

This cake was for my cousin's graduation from high school.  The Superman symbol was the symbol for his sports teams.  Congrats Frank, we're very proud of you!

Summer 14th Birthday

This cake was for our neighbor Grace who turned 14.  She wanted a summer themed cake, yellow cake with buttercream frosting.  Happy Birthday Grace!

Jungle Animals 1st Birthday

This cake was a remake of one of the very first cakes I posted on this blog.  I made the jungle animals two tiered cake, a smash cake for the birthday boy and three dozen coordinating cookies for his guests. The bottom tier of the cake was marble with buttercream, and the top tier was yellow cake with buttercream filling.  Happy Birthday Nicholas!

Hawaiian Bridal Shower Cake

This cake was for a Hawaiian themed shower for a couple honeymooning in Hawaii.  Their names are written in Hawaiian on the cake.  The cake is marble with buttercream filling and icing.  Congrats Hekele & Kukine (Heather & Dustin)!

Minnie Mouse

This cake is a little different than the first Minnie cake I made.  I have to say, I just love bows and polka dots!  It is a yellow cake with buttercream filling and coordinating cupcakes for school.  Happy Birthday Riley!

Pretty in Pink Baby Shower

This pink and white cake was for a shower for the upcoming arrival of Baby Grace.  The bottom tier is yellow almond sour cream cake with buttercream filling and the top tier is chocolate sour cream cake with chocolate mocha buttercream filling.  The cakes are iced in buttercream with fondant decorations and little gumpaste baby shoes.  Can't wait to meet you Grace!

Purple Polka Dot Cake

This cake is for a little girl's 6th birthday.  She wanted a rainbow cake (6 layer cake: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple) with purple frosting, polka dots and a big pink bow.  Happy Birthday Emily, hope you like your Purple Polka Dot Cake!

Two Peas in a Pod

I wasn't able to make it to my friend Sarah's shower because it was the same day as Colin's birthday party.  So I made her this little cake for our little get together.  If you haven't guessed already, she's expecting twins!  Hence the two peas in a pod.  This cake was lemon with raspberry and buttercream filling.  Congrats Sarah & Ryan, we can't wait to meet the boys!
