This cake was definitely the most interesting request I've had yet. It had to combine a love for Michigan State with a love of the movie Back to the Future. I designed a Spartan out of green fondant for the top of the cake, made the letters to look like the letters from the movie, and used the recipient's birthdate and time to make the "Destination Time" from inside the DeLorean. The cake was Birthday Cake with buttercream filling and frosting. Happy Birthday Paul!

Golf Rehearsal Dinner Cake
The bride contacted me about making a golf themed cake for her rehearsal dinner. She said the wedding was geared much more to her taste, so she wanted to incorporate her fiance's love of golf into the rehearsal dinner. The cake is one layer chocolate and one layer yellow with the golf scene on top and subtle argyle on the side. Congrats Carolyn & Mike!

All-Star Sports Cake
This sports balls cake was for our friends' son Jack. A year ago I made Jack's Very Hungry Caterpillar 1st birthday cake, and tried working with fondant for the very first time. I can't believe a year has gone by that fast. This cake is one layer chocolate and one layer yellow with buttercream frosting, covered in all of Jack's favorite sports balls. Happy 2nd Birthday Jack!

Simple Superbowl
I decided to keep our Superbowl treats pretty simple. My daughter had so much fun piping the grass on our cupcakes, and my son can't wait to eat the football cookies. Now all we need is a Pats win....LET'S GO PATRIOTS!

Cake for 7
Each year we celebrate all of the January birthdays in our family with a big dinner. So I had to think of a way to make a birthday cake for seven people. I went with a patchwork quilt of sorts, with each person getting a patch with something they love or love to do. Happy Birthday Mike, Stu, Amanda, Auntie Di, Margie, Nana and Kevin!
